Hi everyone 🙂 🖐
We are starting a couple of different blogs over the next few months, and this is our first.
Crafting from scratch is going to be myself completing craft projects from start to finish. I have done different craft projects in the past, but in this blog I am going to be creating things from nothing but my old tools. My first step is in this post – the building of my workshop. Throughout the blog I will be taking up different crafts and seeing them through to hopefully getting some sales on EggNextDoor.
If any of you would like to see me taking up a craft that you have been thinking about or if you would like to demonstrate your skills in your craft to our audience you can. Just drop us a message on firstname.lastname@example.org or put a comment below.
For this blog Post in Crafting from scratch, I am building a workbench ready for the crafting fest with some help from my little friends. It took me about 5h altogether over two days. The most difficult bit was setting the legs up so they were in a level position, once they were upright, but you have to have a little bit of faith and trust your level. The most nerve-wracking bit was the cut along the length of the hardwood ply sheet as this was a one chance deal, but we got it even if there was a bit of a wobbly start.
In this build, we used 6m of 4″x 2″ planed softwood baton, one sheet of 25mm hardwood plyboard, 4″x 4″ rough cut wood posts (they didn’t have planed wood at the time) 4″ and 6″ screws and a multitude of tools, all of which are pictured.
If you have any questions feel free to quiz me.
Much love Jony❤✌xxx
